Hello—
And so September begins…
Can you feel the first whispers of the change in seasons? the way that nature begins to transition and reset itself? Whether it's from summer to fall or winter to spring for you, it's a lovely time to reconsider the many teachings that nature offers us.
When we're willing to look around and even bask in what surrounds us, we can witness an innate wisdom that—when we let it—reminds us of our own.
So let's take a look at three examples of lessons from nature and see what what they have to offer us:
"Rooted" (2:12)—When we allow trees to be our teachers, we can mine the riches of being deeply rooted yet able to move freely; being part of a nourishing, connective network; and being able to withstand all kinds of weather and storms
without collapsing.
"Molting" (2:40)—Some animals literally shed their skin when they're moving through a major transition and recreating themselves. It's well worth remembering that this does not happen overnight.
"Revealing the Bud" (2:57)—By reframing "peeling the onion", an often used metaphor for the healing process, we can get a much more accurate
sense of what the practice really entails.
