This week, in spite of what the calendar indicates, let's move beyond cards, flowers and chocolate.
We can get so caught up in the flurry of what a holiday like Valentine's Day is "supposed" to encompass or we can detach from that expectation to the point of disinterest or even disdain.
Either way, we're at extremes—all in or all out.
What if, instead, we consider two different ways to take care of our heart and ultimately Our Self? Let's use the opportunity to take stock of our friendships, and how we might opt for a different practice when we wake in the middle of the
night.
"Friends" (2:09)—What is the quality of your friendships? Is there a true connection there or not? Here’s a great reminder to help you determine this and then adjust accordingly if need be. (YouTube Link or Facebook Link).
"Waking Sleep" (2:28)—This is a different way to deal with waking up in the middle of the night. Instead of getting jazzed about the time or reaching for a device, how about embracing it and then gently reveling in it? (YouTube Link or Facebook Link).
