Hello—
And here's to the first three day weekend of the new year.
Time to take a small break and get a sense of how things are unfolding for you. When we make it a point to take stock of how we're progressing through life, we can adjust and tweak accordingly. It's when we don't take a moment to regroup and reassess that things can feel overwhelming and life seems to get the better of us.
So much of the practice continues to be just staying in the present—coming back into the moment at hand, drawing on your breath as a reset, and not falling into has or has yet to happen.
When we're aware of our tendencies to withdraw into fantasy, we can appreciate and even enjoy that time—without getting stuck there. We can also become much more aware of just how we move out of a situation. Both patterns can teach us much about Our Selves.
"Fantasyland" (2:04)—Let’s put our longing for fantasy into perspective by using the metaphor of an amusement park ride.(YouTube Link or Facebook Link).
"Leaving a Moment" (2:36)— How do you leave a moment? Realizing how we leave a moment can tell us so much about Our Selves and how we navigate our lives. (YouTube Link or Facebook Link).

Until next time—
