Hello—
And here's to moving back into the light…
We're in the energy of several celebrations of the season: Hanukkah, the Solstice, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. These are ripe times for losing Our Selves and even stirring up old wounds and traumas.
Can we (re)set the intention to reflect gentleness and kindness in the moment? to embody the notion that we all have scars that can be easily reopened? and that the only constant is change?
I know, a bit of a tall order for this time of year—and yet—the more we can tap into our innate Selves and trust that we are more than enough—and then some—the lighter life can be.
So let's plant these seeds now and reframe the concept of the "authentic self" while we go back to the original meaning of the word trauma.
"Your Self" (2:24)—Let’s reconsider the buzzphrase “authentic” or “true” self and bring it back to what it really is: “Your Self”. (YouTube Link or Facebook Link)
"Trauma" (2:16)—The original meaning of the word trauma is "wound". When we look at the lingering effects through that prism, it not only makes perfect sense, but also reminds us what happens when we don't give a wound the attention it needs. (YouTube Link or Facebook Link).
