Hello—
…and here's to the last full weekend of October.
To me, this is when the quickening begins for the upcoming holidays. While gatherings can be very fraught times with friends and family members, I like to approach them as a chance to practice the lessons they offer.
What if, over the next little while, you began to dabble in neutrality?—regardless of how "charged" a situation might be? What if you really saw the depth—or lack of it—in someone's own healing and were able to just be with it—without getting your "knickers in a twist" or your "panties in a wad"?
How about we just plant this seed for the remainder of the year and see how it grows? You'll have plenty of chances to practice, refine and regroup. I promise.
In light of this, for this week's videos, I took a look at a phrase that is useful in many situations and I mused about the unspoken power and grace of energy in nature—something we can all draw on more often.
"Dry Drunk' " (2:31)—This is a phrase sometimes used in recovery programs. What if we broaden the perspective of it and consider it in other aspects of our lives? (YouTube Link or Facebook Link)
"Geese" (2:07)—The lessons from nature can have such an impact on us. Here’s a reminder of the power of energy, flow, unspoken knowing, and trust. (YouTube Link or Facebook Link)
What are your thoughts? Please comment on either or both pieces with your perspective.
Curious about other musings of mine? All of my SwaffWords© videos are either on my YouTube Channel or in my Facebook Video Library. They're a great way to have a "mini session" with me. Just scroll through the playlists and when a topic speaks to you, click and watch.
Do you know someone who'd appreciate receiving their own weekly copy of SwaffWords©?
If so, they can subscribe here.
If you'd like to connect or stay in touch, you and I have have several options:
In my Facebook community,
you'll find like-minded people, posts, prompts and reminders to support your ongoing
practice.
Rapid Bodymind Clarity reflects my "straight, no chaser" style and the profound impact my approach can have on your life.
We could also begin a conversation. Just connect with me either through my site or via email.
In the meantime, may you keep your wits about you when you encounter a "dry drunk" while tapping into the grace and power of your own innate knowing.
Thanks much.
Until next time—
Cheers,
Steph
