Hello—
and welcome to the end of August / beginning of September. Those of us in the states are on the threshold of Labor Day weekend, the "unofficial" end to summer, although I sense many of us have been feeling that transition for a while now.
As we move forward into this coming change, it can be quite a challenge to stay centered in the flurry of activities and "obligations" that this time of year can bring. The more we can truly listen to Our Selves and act on what matters to us, the less upheaval, drama and even disappointment we'll experience.
To counter the quickening energy of the season, let's draw on a few reminders.
For this week's videos, I looked at how we tend to dismiss our innate knowledge and I reflected on what can be a stunning moment of change in our practice.
"Veto Power" (2:39)—How many times do we use our "veto" power against Our Selves—overriding what we know is best for us in a situation?(YouTube Link or Facebook Link)
"Stupefaction" (3:09)—There are moments of realization that are so stunning that we need to pause within them and let their energy settle before we can take action and move forward.
Feel free to comment on either or both videos.
