Hello—
…and so August begins as the quickening of the fall is starting to stir. We tend to squeeze out the last days of summer while at the same time shifting gears and revving up for school, a return to the standard work schedule, perhaps buying, prepping, packing, even relocating—depending upon where we are in
our lives.
In what can become the frantic energy of this shift, it's sometimes easy to lose Our Selves and then suddenly, the year is over and we're left a bit shell shocked, wondering just what happened…
So before we're swept away by this energy, let's reset with two practices that we can dip into and out of as we move through this coming change.
For this week's videos, I wondered just how deeply we listen with our hearts and how we might express gratitude with three simple words.
"Hear Your Heart" (2:42)—Do You let others hear your heart? Do You hear your heart? When we're willing to break open our hearts (a different concept of "heartbreak"), it can make all the difference in our lives.
"Bless My Life" (2:05)—Here's a broader bit of gratitude practice that can take us beyond the phrase "I'm so blessed." (YouTube Link or Facebook Link)
Please comment or share your insights on either or both videos. It's a great way to start a conversation.
