Hello—
and welcome to this week's SwaffWords© video recap.
We're already into double digits when it comes to July dates, days are getting shorter and nights darker sooner. All of these factors are just reminders that the only constant is change and when we settle into what feels like a "set" routine, rhythm, and pattern, it is only for a short period of time. We can be so intent on "fixing" this elusiveness that once again we are surprised by change. May we
recognize and embody this ebb and flow so that as the natural course of things unfolds, we are not so blindsided.
In light of this, for this week's videos, I chose two metaphors that can help us stay in the flow of a moment, situation, or challenge.
"Palate Cleanser" (2:14)—A palate cleanser can be such a lovely, gentle way to shift gears between courses of a meal. It can also be a reminder to make a conscious transition from one moment to the next. (YouTube

"Staying Wet" (2:11)—This offers a way to maintain momentum in your ongoing practice. Approach the process as if it's water, and don't get out to "dry off".(YouTube Link or Facebook

Please comment and share your insights on either or both videos. Your perspective might be the one that someone else needs right now.
