"Use The Difficulty"
Welcome to June and the waning days of spring.
Let's work with the notion of a difficulty—something that is "hard to deal with, accomplish or understand". Let's also throw in the aspect of it often being unexpected.
There we are, going along just fine in our lives when a difficulty arises. We can be caught
off guard, thrown for a loop, flooded with various emotions: surprise, anger, disappointment, resentment—just to name a few. And yet, we still have to move through the moment. How we choose to do that can make all the difference.
When we're willing to approach an unexpected impediment in
a different way, we can access new and alternative resources that we hadn't considered previously.
I'm not suggesting that you ignore the emotions or upset that can arise. I'm just reminding all of us that we still have to navigate the moment and finding a different option in spite of /
because of it can open up all kinds of possibilities.
It's like getting stuck in the mud. Yes. The initial pull of the wet earth can feel like we have no options other than waiting for someone to come along and pull us out. However, waiting for only that solution might turn into a long
wait.
Can you "Use The Difficulty" (2:28) to your advantage?
