"T.H.I.N.K"
Welcome to February. It's so short that I always feel it's almost over even though we're only at the midpoint of the month. Interesting the way time plays tricks on us—or we trick ourselves about time...
No denying these are textured, loaded, challenging times—which means it's time to dip into the practice of caring—instead of judging, attacking and dismissing. And yes—this is no small feat—when we're steeped in such a trying atmosphere.
So let's consider an acronym that can begin to change our interactions not only with the people we know but also with the people we don't:
T.H.I.N.K. — Take each letter
and ask Your Self: "Does this describe what you're about to do or say"?
Thoughtful
Helpful
Inspiring
Needed
Kind
It's a reminder to make sure that what we're offering in the moment is what's really needed—rather than some agenda or "wisdom" that we're
so intent on sharing.
Do you practice this practice before jumping in with your viewpoint? Do you "T.H.I.N.K." (2:31)?
