"Repeating the Course"
Hello October!
And
while we're a long way off from summer school, by this time in the term, we all had a sense of whether or not we were going to do well or even well enough in a class by the midterm, let alone the final.
What I want to focus on this time is not those subjects that were giving us a hard
time, but rather those moments when we give Our Selves a hard time—when we choose not to do the work or learn the lessons being presented to us.
This is not when a deeper teaching to a lesson comes our way and gives us the chance to dive more fully into our healing process. Rather,
this is when we choose not to roll up our sleeves, get into the mess of it, own our part, make different choices and move through the moment.
We might pay lip service to what it takes, we might go round and round lamenting that we thought we learned this, we might duck and run
promising to get to this "later".
When these are our choices, the consequences become quite clear. We end up having to learn, relearn and even re-relearn what's being offered to us.
How about not "Repeating the Course"? (2:31) in the first place?
